Kirkland’s Mobile Marine Detailing Service

Boat detailing at the marina means you don’t have to coordinate haul-outs or shop logistics. We work where the vessel is located, during a window that fits your schedule, and handle the surface work from the dock or with the appropriate access equipment. The detail happens on the boat, not around it.

Here at Dreamy’s Detailing Services, 318 clients have left a 5.0-star Google average. That rating covers every type of vehicle and vessel we service. The standard does not change between an SUV detail and a hull cleaning.

Gel Coat Cleaning and Restoration

Gel coat is the outer surface layer on fiberglass hulls and decks. It’s durable but susceptible to oxidation, UV fade, and waterline contamination, which dull its surface over time. We clean, polish, and protect gel coat using products appropriate for marine surfaces, not automotive products that can damage gel coat chemistry or leave residue that attracts contamination.

Interior and Canvas Care

Boat interiors collect a different type of soiling than vehicle interiors: fish residue, saltwater exposure, mildew from moisture retention, and sun fade on upholstery and trim. We clean and treat marine upholstery, vinyl, canvas, and trim surfaces with products that protect against UV, moisture, and mold without leaving a slippery residue.

What Boat Detailing Covers

A full boat detailing in Kirkland, WA, goes beyond what a freshwater rinse handles after a day on the water.

Waterline and Hull Surface Treatment

Waterline deposits are among the most stubborn contaminations on any boat. Algae, barnacle remnants, and mineral deposits from prolonged waterline exposure build up quickly and resist standard cleaning. We use marine-appropriate chemicals and the right abrasive levels for the hull material to remove waterline buildup without damaging gel coat or painted surfaces.

The contamination that accumulates on hull surfaces below the waterline, inside lockers, on canvas tops, and on teak or aluminum hardware requires targeted products and techniques specific to marine surfaces.

We assess the vessel on arrival, confirm the scope of work, and cover the surfaces that need attention. We don’t apply a standard checklist to every boat; the work reflects what the vessel actually needs. Hardware, Glass, and Deck Surfaces

Stainless, aluminum, glass, teak, and plastic trim all require different products and methods. We work through deck hardware, portlights, compass housings, and deck surfaces with the right product for each material. Leaving dissimilar materials in contact with the wrong product chemistry is how corrosion and surface damage start. To learn more about us, visit our page for further information.

Hull and Exterior Assessment

We start with a walk-around inspection of the hull exterior, topside surfaces, canvas, and interior. We note oxidation level, waterline contamination, hardware condition, and any areas that need specialized treatment. This assessment lets us confirm the scope before any product touches the surface.

Step 2

Waterline Cleaning and Hull Wash

Waterline deposits come off first, using appropriate marine cleaners matched to the hull material and contamination type. We work the waterline and hull exterior before moving to topside and interior surfaces, so contamination removed from the hull doesn’t transfer to clean surfaces.

Step 3

Gel Coat Polish, Interior, and Surface Protection

With surfaces clean, we move into correction and protection work: gel coat polishing where needed, interior surface treatment, canvas and upholstery care, and hardware detailing. Protective products go on last, matched to the material receiving them.

Step 4

Final Review and Client Sign-Off

We walk through the completed vessel with you, covering every section of the work. If anything needs a second look, we address it before wrapping the appointment. We also note any surfaces or hardware that may need attention at the next service interval.
